This activity was created specifically for a kindergarten classroom where the students are working hard on mastering their number recognition and counting skills. We also are focusing in moving items around in a Slide, which helps with trackpad learning. I have specifically limited the audio directions to allow the students to follow my voice.
The basis of this was created in Canva and then downloaded and inserted into Google Slides. I added it in Google Classroom as an assignment, using the "Make a copy" option for each student. I always include a themed emoji to help these littlest learners easily locate the correct assignment. We started each slide together talking through what they see and ideas on what they think they might do on it. I also use the teachers mobile trackpad to allow me to demonstrate what they are to do. (This has been an amazing addition to our lessons!)
As your students become more comfortable with seeing and doing activities, they will become a little more independent. You then will have the time and ability to help those who need extra guidance.
