St. Patrick's Day - matching & memory games
Playing games is a super fun way of enhancing and reinforcing learning ... all while practicing skills our student need to learn!
Both of these games were created using Flippity.net. The creator builds all of the activities on his site using Google Sheets. It is super easy to modify to make work for any theme or activity - in this case, I used St. Patrick's Day as the theme and even changed cards to be green!
This pairing allows students to practice matching St. Patrick's Day images to their name. Don't worry if your littles aren't reading yet, there is the option to hear the words, too! And identifying speakers & what they do is a great skill - one that will aide them for the rest of their lives! (I look for speakers to read things to me!)
One of the games has all the cards face up ... the other has them face down for a little memory challenge, too, for students that are a little older and ready for that challenge.
I recommend posting the links for the games to Google Classroom, or your LMS, for students to return to multiple times.
