It's that time of the year where we dedicate a little time to holiday classics like The Grinch! I always love spending the week reading, discussing and finding meaning in the message of this story. What I love even more is having some creative freedom and fun which is where this activity stems from!
In the Google Slides activity, students are able to insert adjectives that describe the Grinch, practice creative writing and practice some addition and subtraction equations as well! This activity is/includes:
- visually appealing
- Mote audio notes
- written directions
- typing practice
- math practice
- drag & drop
This was created in Google Slides and shared in Google Classroom as an assignment, using the "Make a copy" option for each student. A tractor emoji was used as the first character of the assignment for quicker student recognition.
As your students become more comfortable with seeing and doing activities, they will become a little more independent. You then will have the time and ability to help those who need extra guidance.
