TOOL: Google Jamboard

Unfortunately, Google has announced the end of Jamboard in 2024! We will take this blog post down later in the year ... be sure to convert your Jamboards. For this age group, I suggest moving it over to Google Slides. It's pretty similar, just doesn't have the same free-hand drawing capabilities. We will also convert the single Jamboard activity here on our blog.

TOOL:
 Jamboard, from Google

WEBSITE: https://jamboard.google.com/

DESCRIPTION: Jamboard is a newer tool from Google. Think of it as a whiteboard with similar characteristics to Google Slides. The best features are a free draw tool, simple - which means not much wasted time on picking through loads of options, collaborative, saves to your Drive, and you can make copies in Google Classroom.

WHO SHOULD USE THIS TOOL: Teachers and students should both use this tool. If you are comfortable with Google Slides, you will feel right at home in Jamboard.

SUGGESTED USE: Jamboards are great ways for students to practice math as well as all things creative. WIth its similar characteristics to Google Slides, you will feel right at home.

Be sure to check out our "Student Ready Activity" label ... we have some activities you can go ahead and try out using Jamboard with your students. And be sure to check out the people listed below - they share out TONS of Jamboard templates you can grab and go!

ADDITIONAL INFO: I've got a Jamboard Wakelet collection that shares tips, tricks, and other resources (including activities) that I have collected about Google's Jamboard.

Subscription ➥ Nope. You only need a Google account and you have unlimited access to Jamboard and all its abilities.
