TOOL: Google Forms
WEBSITE: find it in your Google Drive - or create a new one by typing "forms.new" in the URL box
DESCRIPTION: Google Forms is actually a survey tool created by Google. However, teachers have creatively used Forms for a number of different reasons - assessments, check ins, data collectors, and more.
WHO SHOULD USE THIS TOOL: Suggested for teachers of our littlest - creating Forms will require a great deal of practice and exposure. Students around 2nd grade could create a Form with specific guidance and support.
SUGGESTED USES: One way a teacher might choose to use Google Forms is by creating a survey to learn about their students. Another survey might provide preferences for an upcoming lunch or treat. Teachers can create a Form to assess a student's understanding of content, too. Images can be added as answer options to ensure it is age appropriate. During the years of remote learning, many teachers used Forms as a method to "check in" with their students and families. There are few limits to a Google Form - if you have questions, or need help - reach out! We'd be happy to help.
Forms can be super simple or complex - depending on the purpose. Teachers can also share a link to Google Classroom making is super easy for even the youngest learners to complete.
The Mote extension can also be used on a Google Form to further support the littlest learners.
ADDITIONAL INFO: I've got a Google Forms Wakelet collection that shares tips, tricks, and other resources (including activities) that I have collected about Google Slides.
